Dubai experience: Old city . Part 2

Ciao a tutti,

Hello everyone,
here we are with the second part of my experience in Dubai (Part 1).
Having organizing everything at the last minute and not having read or prepared anything before departure I have totally entrusted to the guide "Lonely Planet Dubai Pocket" at 12.90 €.
Being alone on the first day and having no idea what I could find in the old neighborhoods, I decided to wear a long skirt, vest comfortable and head scarf (for the strong sun), but this does not mean that the sun revolved other girls in miniskirts or shorts.
Here is a picture of my notes and my tour about the old city of Dubai, Bur Dubai and Deira districts and the Dubai Creek.

Release early, I took a taxi towards Heritage Village. Council not to immerse yourself in the internal streets due to traffic especially during rush hour.
Start at the top and walk along the natural path of things to see seemed to be the right strategy to follow. The guide advised to visit these two districts in two different days. I did it in a morning.
You'll notice in the photos, as perhaps was the only or one of the few to wander these streets especially early in the morning with 40 degrees. I have met very few tourists. The good thing is that in every museum I had the full attention of the guides and guards. In every place I was offered tea or coffee. It 'good to accept it as a sign of respect. You had to see they were happy!
At the Traditional Architecture Museum I met a guard of Pakistani origin who told me the story of his life, I was not left alone even for 2 seconds and it made me a lot of pictures. Al Sheikh Saeed al-Maktoum House offered me a chair in the direction of the air conditioning and tea and gave me the book in Italian on How to Understand Islam. Juma and obain bin thani house, the Grand Mosque seen only from the outside, the Dubai Museum, the Bastakiya district with famous department and the offices of Architecture (I could not get to look around) and the Bur Dubai Souq complete the tour of Bur Dubai.

These buildings (although almost all are restated for style) do understand the typical way to build Arabic. One example is the Tower of the Wind. You can not even imagine how you were well within these courtyards, with a ventilation system completely natural.

Note also the relationship between the old and new architecture. The tradition is still present, the colors, the details.

See you soon with Part 3 and the Deira district.
